Gateway Center Temporary Closure & Elevator Outage

The City of Sunny Isles Beach is installing a new standby generator at Gateway Center to strengthen the facility's emergency preparedness and support post-storm recovery operations. This project requires temporary power shutdowns while electrical work is completed in coordination with Florida Power & Light (FPL). 

Friday, September 4 - 7

Gateway Center will be closed on Friday, September 4. All scheduled programming is canceled. 

The elevators serving the Gateway Center Parking Garage and Pedestrian Bridge will be out of service from Friday, September 4 through Monday, September 7.

The Gateway Center Parking Garage will remain open for public parking during this time. Access between parking garage levels will be available by stairwell only.

September 11 - 13

A second phase of electrical work is scheduled for Friday, September 11 through Sunday, September 13 and will require another temporary power shutdown.

Additional information regarding any impacts to Gateway Park facilities and amenities during this phase will be provided once details are confirmed.
