City Bus Upgrades Aim to Improve Rider Experience

Changes are coming to the City’s shuttle buses. Recently, the City Bus stop within the property of the Oceanview Condominiums was relocated to an area adjacent to Heritage Park, at the request of condo management. Our Public Works Department is currently in the process of installing a bus shelter at this new pickup location. This change is designed to make the waiting experience more comfortable for riders.

In addition, ETA Transit will soon begin installing new hardware on City Buses as part of a system modernization project. This new system provides a user-friendly mobile application that features multiple languages, a better tracking system of the routes, and a passenger counter for reporting ridership. The system also includes updated cameras, a fixed base route system, real-time GPS/arrivals-departure package, automatic voice announcements, infotainment LCD screens and an onboard cellular router.
