Tax Collector’s Office Driver License Services

The City of Sunny Isles Beach will host a Mobile Driver License event in partnership with the Miami-Dade County Tax Collector’s Office. Residents will have the opportunity to get help with the following services:

On-Site Services Available

  • Driver License Renewal, Replacement, and Reinstatement

  • Original ID Issuance and Renewal

  • Vehicle Registration Renewal

  • Organ Donor Status Updates

  • Handicap Permit Applications and Renewals

  • Original Out-of-State to Florida Driver’s License

  • Car Registration Duplicate/Replacement

  • Property Tax Payments (credit card payments only)

  • Local Business Tax Processing (credit card payments only)

Registration is required. To schedule an appointment, please visit https://app.mdctaxcollector.gov/, create an account, and select Bus S-84.

Service Fees

  • Driver License Renewal (Class E): $48

  • Expired Driver License Renewal: $63

  • Original ID Card: $25

  • Handicap Permit Renewal: $15

  • No-Fee ID: Available with documentation of enrollment in qualifying programs (e.g., Department of Children and Families, Access Florida Benefits) or proof of income meeting federal poverty guidelines.

Note: Access Cards without expiration dates are not accepted.


REAL ID Compliance

Residents applying for a REAL ID must bring original documents verifying identity, Social Security number, and proof of residential address.

U.S. Citizens:
Acceptable documents include a U.S. Passport, Passport Card, Birth Certificate, or Naturalization Certificate (originals only), plus your Social Security card and proof of address (e.g., utility bill, bank statement, mortgage or lease agreement, voter registration card, or Florida vehicle registration/title). Proof of address must be dated within 60 days and show the applicant’s name.

Permanent Residents:
Bring your I-1551 Resident Card, Social Security card, and proof of address.

Non-Immigrants:
Provide valid immigration documents showing legal status, along with your Social Security card and proof of address.
