The Sunny Isles Beach Government Center, Gateway Center, Pelican Community Park and The Spot will be closed on Monday, February 16, in observance of Presidents' Day.
Utility undergrounding work began Tuesday, January 6, in the Golden Shores neighborhood. As crews convert overhead utilities to underground service, residents may experience brief, temporary power outages between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

As your mayor, I want to reaffirm our commitment to transparency and open communication in everything we do. The City Commission and I believe that keeping our residents informed and involved is essential to good governance.
Each month, we provide three opportunities for you to engage directly in the City's decision-making process. On the third Tuesday of every month, except December, we hold an Agenda Review meeting, where we walk through the ordinances and resolutions scheduled for the Regular City Commission Meeting. Then, on the third Thursday, we host a workshop that features presentations, proclamations, and open discussion on key items. This is followed by our Regular Commission Meeting, where ordinances and resolutions are put to a vote.
These meetings are open to the public, and your participation is not only welcome — it's encouraged. We want you to be part of the conversation, stay informed about city matters, and share your input as we make decisions that shape our community.
