Temporary Power Outages in Golden Shores

Utility undergrounding work began Tuesday, January 6, in the Golden Shores neighborhood. As crews convert overhead utilities to underground service, residents may experience brief, temporary power outages between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

The City of Sunny Isles Beach is alerting residents and visitors about a parking payment scam involving counterfeit QR codes on some PaybyPhone signs and parking meters around the city. These fake QR codes lead to fraudulent websites that attempt to steal sensitive banking information.

What to know:

City staff found fake QR codes during routine inspections.
None of the city's parking payment methods utilize QR codes.
Always pay directly using the official PaybyPhone app.
