Collins & Harding Avenue Re-alignment Project

This notice is being shared as a courtesy on behalf of Whiting-Turner Construction.

Beginning tentatively the week of June 22, 2025, Whiting-Turner Contracting will commence construction of the Collins & Harding Roadway Re-Alignment project. Traffic patterns will be modified along Southbound Collins Avenue / Harding Avenue, between 96th St. and 9800 Block to facilitate the upcoming construction activities. 

The westernmost southbound lane will be closed. Each of the small sections will be reopened to traffic upon completion. Construction at each of these small sections will require 24 hour lane closures, for extended durations of time. The overall duration for all of the small areas combined, as identified below, will be approximately (4) months. 

What to Expect

  • Lane closure will remain in place for safety around the clock, 24 hours per day, for the safety of the public.
  • We ask the pedestrians and drivers to adhere to all construction signs and proceed with caution.
  • Two lanes will remain open at all times during construction, along southbound Collins Ave. / Harding Ave.
  • Normal work hours will be from 9 p.m. - 6 a.m.
