Utility undergrounding work began Tuesday, January 6, in the Golden Shores neighborhood. As crews convert overhead utilities to underground service, residents may experience brief, temporary power outages between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
City facilities, including the Sunny Isles Beach Government Center, Gateway Center, The Spot and Pelican Community Park will be closed on Thursday, June 19, 2025, in observance of Juneteenth.
The SIBshuttle will run on its regular schedule.
City parks will be open for regular hours of operation.
The Police Department remains open 24/7, as usual.
