Utility undergrounding work began Tuesday, January 6, in the Golden Shores neighborhood. As crews convert overhead utilities to underground service, residents may experience brief, temporary power outages between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
Short-Term Vacation Rentals (STR) are any unit, or portion thereof, or group of units, in a condominium, apartment or cooperative that is leased or rented to an occupant for a rental period of six (6) months or less. Owners or Responsible Parties operating a Short-Term Vacation Rental shall obtain a Short-Term Vacation Rental License prior to advertising, leasing or renting a multi-family dwelling unit. A separate Short-Term Vacation Rental License is required for each Short-Term Vacation Rental unit. Licenses expire and must be renewed each year.
If you are applying for your first Short Term Vacation Rental license, first, please read the Licensing Process & Applications document below which will walk you through the application process and what you will need to apply. Once you have all of the required documentation, you can apply below.
Short Term Vacation Rental License renewal applications will be accepted starting each year on August 1. Documents can be submitted online through your portal account. A renewal fee of $400 is paid after the application is reviewed and approved.
*Submit your renewal application by September 30 each year to avoid late fees. Enforcement applies on October 1.
Owners or Responsible Parties operating a Short-Term Vacation Rental shall obtain a Short-Term Vacation Rental License prior to leasing or renting a multi-family dwelling unit. A separate Short-Term Vacation Rental License is required for each Short-Term Vacation Rental unit.
A Responsible Party is an Individual. The Responsible Party shall be designated and name submitted with the application for Short-Term Vacation Rental License. The City shall be notified in writing of any change of Responsible Party within ten (10) days of such change.
Incomplete applications will be denied.
All payments must be processed online through your portal account.
The Fees charged by the Planning and Zoning Department for Short-Term Vacation Rental Licenses, pursuant to Ordinance 2018-522 Section 217-19, are non-refundable.
The maximum occupancy for Short-Term Vacation Rentals is up to two persons per bedroom, plus two additional persons per property.
Up to a maximum of 12 persons. Excludes children under three years of age.
Under the Short-Term Vacation Rental Ordinance, the Owner or Responsible Party must demonstrate compliance with all applicable codes.
A Short-Term Vacation Rental License will not be issued for a property with open code violations.
If you violate the short-term vacation rental Ordinance, within any continuous 12 month period:
The City may refuse to issue or renew a License due to the Owner or Responsible Party willfully withholding or falsifying any information.
Applications can be submitted online. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Owner or Responsible Party will receive notation of what is missing.
Once you submit an application, you have 60 days to submit all required documents. Enforcement will apply after this time period.
