The City of Sunny Isles Beach has been recognized for its newly redesigned website, winning a 2025 Outstanding Award from the Florida Municipal Communicators Association (FMCA). The award was presented during FMCA’s Annual Conference and honors excellence in local government communications across Florida.

“The FMCA Outstanding Awards program is a celebration of the creativity, dedication, and impact of local government communicators across Florida,” said 2025-26 FMCA President Lizzy Kelley, Marketing and Public Information Manager for the City of Tallahassee. “Each year, we are inspired by the innovative ways our members connect with their communities and advance the mission of public service through effective communication.”

The City’s redesigned website was developed in partnership with Granicus and focuses on creating a better digital experience for residents, businesses, and visitors. The new site is mobile-friendly, easy to navigate, and accessible to all users.

The redesign was guided by extensive user feedback, including multilingual surveys and heat mapping, to ensure the site met the needs of the diverse Sunny Isles Beach community. The result is a website that reflects the City’s commitment to service, transparency, and digital accessibility.
